“An oasis on the beach of Valencia.” The Marina Beach Club advertises their beach club in a tempting and truthful way. Located at the busy Playa de la Malvarrosa, the Marina Beach Club offers a place for recreation, relaxation and refreshment.
Chillin’ at the Marina Beach Club
How to go from airplane mode to vacay mode? The answer is simple: visit the Marina Beach Club. Spend your first day at this beach club and you’ll jump into the vacation mood within the blink of an eye. The beach club comprises an infinity pool, several restaurants and cocktail bars (including a pool bar!), loads of sunbeds and an all-day DJ set. Whereas the main area of the beach club is the place in Valencia to see and be seen, you can also spend your day at the beach section – my personal recommendation. This area is more remote than the main area, while you’ll be still able to enjoy all the benefits of it; swimming in the infinity pool with views of the Mediterranean Sea and sipping cocktails at the pool bar whilst the DJ is spinning some lounge music in the background. When looking for a little more peace and quiet, the sunbeds on the beach are perfect to get some vitamin D or to chill and read a book. The palm tree beach umbrella’s next to each sunbed, make the beach club look even more like a paradise.
While the entrance to the beach club is quite costly, you can use most of it for the consumption of food and drinks. And I can assure you, you will feel like a princess when you can order ice-cold drinks, loads of food and delicious desserts whilst laying on your sunbed.
HOW TO GET THERE:
The Marine Beach Club is situated at the beginning of the Playa de la Malvarrosa. It is easily accessible by bike – I highly recommend exploring Valencia by bike – and by public transportation (take tram 8 to its final destination, Marina Reial Joan Carles I).
On weekdays the entrance amounts 50EUR of which 30EUR can be used for food and drinks. Next to this, you pay a deposit of 15EUR for the beach towel. During the weekend (fri-sun), the price rises to 70EUR with 40EUR reserved for consumption.
